Why Jefferson Deadlifts are Beneficial

IMG_5369.JPG

The Jefferson Deadlift has recently turned into the hottest thing since the tickle me Elmo craze of 1996… and that was pretty damn hot. There’s just something about straddling a loaded barbell, and hoisting it directly into your crotch that really gets the anabolic juices going.

The One True Deadlift

Don’t you get tired of hearing people argue about sumo deadlifting and conventional deadlifting all the time? It’s like they are all missing the big picture… every educated lifter understands that both of those variations are CHEATING. Notice we said variations, because they are both alternatives of the one true deadlift: The Jefferson Deadlift.

Why Jefferson Deadlift?

Because we said so! And that’s the bottom line! Also:

  • It’s the one true deadlift (as mentioned above).

  • Most anabolic deadlift (something related to the bar grazing the crotch).

  • It’s not cheating.

  • Thomas Jefferson invented it.

  • Massenomics endorses it.

The Jefferson deadlift is great for anyone that is patriotic, likes being strong and muscular, or prefers honest methods of hoisting weights from the ground. We have seen some really strong monsters displaying their skills in the Jefferson Deadlift as of late.

The Jefferson Deadlift is a contested event in the IAWA. Bob Hirsh put up 702 in official IAWA competition in 1996. Eric Bugenhagen shocked the world when he Jeffersoned 800 in his gym in 2017. Now in 2019, we are seeing Sean “The Deadlift Machine” Green battling it out with Steve “The Forsaken Warrior” Johnson. Sean did 805, then Steve answered with 810. Sean fired back with an insane 906 pound Jefferson for a new world record. Now we get to see what Steve can do next. Check out this article from BarBend showcasing these recent feats of patriotic strenght.

We can also sit back and enjoy the show as other Jefferson freaks get involved. Maybe Cailer Woolam will see the light in 2020 and switch over to the Jefferson side of the world.

What’s next for the JD?

It’s time for all of you to take that big step (one foot in front of the bar) and try some Jefferson Deadlifting of your own. Then snag yourself a Massenomics Jefferson Deadlift shirt. Make sure to check out the Massenomics Podcast where we talk about Jefferson Deadlifting on the regular. Most importantly, don’t call if Jefferson squatting.
