Best Fast Food Desserts for Lifters
That’s right, we finally answered the age old question… “Which fast food desserts are the best for lifters?” This list of tasty treats is certain to make you drop that barbell and rush off to the closest drive thru to snag one of your favorite sweet calorie bombs.
Some of you might want to know what makes this list specific to lifters. But if you have to ask, you will never really know.
Reese’s peanut butter cup blizzard from dairy queen
1,000 calories. 42g fat, 136g carbs, 25g protein. (size large)
This monster is for all the bulkers out there. Where are you going to find a better tasting 1,000 calories to shove down your pie hole? (funny because there’s no pie in this one). As an added bonus it can be flipped upside down without falling out.
Taco Bell Cinnamon twists
170 calories. 7g fat, 26g carbs, 1g protein.
Possibly the simplest fast food dessert ever created. Little crunchy sticks covered in cinnamon and sugar. This is the lowest calorie dessert on the list, so it’s designed for those of you lifters that are in a cutting phase.
#3 Hershey’s sundae pie from burger king
310 calories. 19g fat, 32g carbs, 3g protein.
We have to give it to the Burger King Pie, it at least looks like pie (more than what can be said for some other “pies” on this list). What lifter doesn’t like a little pie in their life that is about 90% chocolate?
#2 Wendy’s chocolate frosty
350 calories. 9g fat, 58g carbs, 10g protein. (size small)
This thing is basically just a delicious post-workout shake… At least that is what we are going to keep telling ourselves. The frosty comes in this weird paradoxical form that no man or woman can quite explain or recreate. It’s thick enough to use a spoon, smooth enough to use a straw, and perfect when enjoyed on the end of a fry.
#1 MCDONALDS APPLE PIE
240 Calories. 11g fat, 35g carbs, 2g protein.
The granddaddy of them all! Often imitated, but never duplicated. This thing is so iconic that we are willing to overlook the fact that it really doesn’t resemble a pie in any material way. McDonalds baked apple pie is made with a tender, flaky lattice-top crust with a sprinkled sugar topping and 100% American-grown apples. If you’re interested in learning more about this fine piece of Americana, please listen to the Massenomics Podcast. Note: The apple pie also looks eerily similar to a hot pocket in this photo.
